Bills Provide Injury Updates on Matt Milano and DaQuan Jones

The Buffalo Bills suffered a double injury blow in their Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, with linebacker Matt Milano and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones both leaving the game early.

Milano suffered a knee injury in the first quarter and was ruled out for the rest of the game. He was carted off the field with a cast on his right leg from his shin up to his thigh.

Jones left the game in the first quarter with a pectoral injury. He made a huge third-down run stop on running back Tank Bigsby in the backfield but didn't return.

After the game, Bills head coach Sean McDermott provided updates on both injuries.

"Matt Milano has a knee injury," McDermott said. "We're still evaluating it, but it's not good. We'll have to wait for the MRI to come back."

"DaQuan Jones has a pectoral injury," McDermott continued. "He's doubtful to return next week."

Milano and Jones are both key players for the Bills defense. Milano is one of the best linebackers in the NFL, and Jones is a disruptive force on the interior defensive line.

Their injuries are a big blow to the Bills, who are already without safety Micah Hyde for the season due to a neck injury.

It is unclear how long Milano and Jones will be out of action. The Bills will have more information after they receive the results of their MRIs.

In the meantime, the Bills will have to find ways to replace Milano and Jones in their lineup.

Milano's absence could mean a bigger role for linebacker Tre'Davious White, who is making his way back from a torn ACL.

Jones' absence could mean more playing time for defensive tackles Ed Oliver and Tim Settle.

The Bills will hope to have Milano and Jones back as soon as possible, but they will need to find ways to win without them in the meantime.
